Sepehr Children Houses
In sheltering the orphan and neglected children and adolescents ( SEPEHR CHILDREN), the Organization has adopted the method of family-style Centers so that by creating a home and family ambiance for the orphan children and adolescents to present them with the possibility of living the vulnerable years of their childhood and adolescence in the warmth of family bonds.
So far, the Sepehr Charity Foundation has constructed five houses in five zones of the city of Bam to accommodate 25 to 30 children and adolescents in each. The task of housing Sepehr Children in the said houses commenced in October 2006 and was completed in September 2007.
All the family- like houses of Sepehr due to children’s ages, are equipped with; playroom for children, suitable bedrooms, a library, a computer room, living room, a reception hall, a dining room and a play era.
Further, Sepehr foundation has succeeded to establish four building in pakdasht (30 Km far from Tehran) to take care of 3 to 12 year old orphan and neglected children and adolescents. These houses have the capacity for 120 children. These houses have operating since 2018.
Education
Sepehr Children are pursuing their education in the best schools of the city, whether state-run or private. As for those children who lacked proper education prior to joining Sepehr Family, private tutors as well as volunteer university students were organized to help them make up for their weaknesses in all required subjects and fields in order to be able to join the others and continue school syllabus.
In recognition of the fact that the transition from childhood to puberty has a great impact in forming key personal character qualities and traits, and Sepehr’s managers and trainers overseeing the training and education of children have a direct role in this regard. The duties and functions of these managers and trainers firstly require their continuous communication and interaction with the principals and teachers at the schools where the children are enrolled, and secondly to ensure that they closely monitor and analyze the educational progress of all children in order to implement mitigating and corrective measures where necessary.
Culture, Art and Athletics
In order to identify and to develop Sepehr Children’s talents, they are regularly offered training workshops in creative subjects namely computer, painting, rug-weaving, handicraft and creative writing. Reading literary works in prose and poems are also included in the standard programs of Sepehr Children.
In order to maintain their physical fitness most of Sepehr Children participate in sports classes such as futsal, swimming, basketball, football and chess.
Social Skills
In order to cultivate the conduct of Sepehr Children in their social life and to introduce them to ethics and good practices, the Children are organized to attend relevant appropriate official functions, festivities and community ceremonies and events commensurate with their age group.
Inviting university professors to conduct educational and psychological assessment workshops are also part of the routine and periodical programs at Sepehr Centers. Sepehr Children enjoy recreation and cultural camps, which are organized regularly and in different provinces of Iran by Sepehr Charity Foundation.
Recreational Activities
Recreational camps are continuously organized in various regions in the country in order to introduce Sepehr Children to the folk culture, tradition, natural and human geography as well as the social conditions of various regions of Iran. Moreover, the interaction of such events with the organized training workshops would reinforce the children’s sense of teamwork and responsibility
Sepehr Children Council
Sepehr Children Council has been established to allow Sepehr Children to participate in decision making process with respect to the administration of their own upbringing centers and to develop their abilities in taking part in social activities in adulthood.
Sepehr Children Council goals are:
ـ To promote mental and intellectual skills in developing group decisions.
ـ To reinforce the sense of responsibility and healthy competition.
ـ To promote self-awareness and self confidence amongst the children.
ـ To provide development and training needed for social interaction in various settings.
ـ To employ Sepehr Children’s potentials and capabilities in the administration of Sepehr Centers.
ـ To promote the sense of solidarity, mutual respect and friendship amongst the children.
ـ To develop skills for group interaction and consultative activities during the adulthood stages.
The foundation is trying to find the replacement of it’s employees among it’s own children growing up and graduating through Sepehr charity efforts.
